Alphabet-O game
Alphabet-O game
Created by Jill Bender, CALT
Alphabet-O is a fast-paced, strategic alphabet game designed to strengthen letter sequencing, visual discrimination, and cognitive flexibility. More advanced than traditional alphabet games, Alphabet-O challenges players to build a complete alphabetical sequence—without any duplicate letters—using a mix of uppercase and lowercase cards.
Each game includes:
-
64 Alphabet-O cards (1 uppercase + 1 lowercase of each letter, 2 wilds, 10 specialty cards)
-
2 custom 3D-printed card racks
-
2 vertical reference strips for sequencing support
-
Instruction booklet with link to video demo
🔤 Gameplay:
Each player fills their card rack with a random hand and takes turns swapping one card at a time from the deck, aiming to create a perfect A–Z sequence. Wild cards can stand in for any letter—but duplicates of the same letter aren't allowed!
🎯 Goal:
Be the first to complete your rack in alphabetical order without duplicates. The game ends the moment a player completes their sequence!
⚡ Designed for Therapists & Advanced Learners
Alphabet-O has a bit more of a learning curve than simpler alphabet games, making it ideal for students who are ready for a higher-level challenge. It promotes sustained attention, memory, and flexible thinking—perfect for CALTs looking to enrich advanced alphabetic and sequencing skills.
